Funding Decision Process and Financial Control Process
We follow a well-defined process to decide on which projects to fund. Once we do fund a project, we have financial control processes in place to ensure the funds are being used for designated purposes.The goals of this process are: (1) establish and demonstrate financial control, (2) focus on charitable activities only and (3) especially in grants made outside of the USA, have processes in place to ensure funding non-OFAC non-SDN countries, individuals and organizations with funds are used for exempt purposes only.
Funding decisions are made by discussion and approval by the Board, with the exception that occasional time-sensitive funding up to $ 250.00 is permitted to be made by one of the Directors, provided such funding and rationale is presented to the Board for discussion and approval at the immediately following meeting.
